Have you been told you have prediabetes—or that your blood sugar is higher than it should be?
You can take action now to improve your health and lower your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Wellness Five offers the National Diabetes Prevention Program, a CDC-recognized, year-long lifestyle change program for adults with prediabetes or an increased risk of type 2 diabetes. Through live, interactive group classes led by a trained Lifestyle Coach, you will receive practical guidance, encouragement, and support as you build healthier habits that fit your life
Did You Know?
115 Million Americans have prediabetes,
(that’s more than 2 out of 5 US adults)
8 out of 10 people with prediabetes don’t even know they have it.
This program is designed to help you lower your risk of developing
Type 2 Diabetes. Now and for years to come.
Even 10 years after the program ends, the CDC reports that former participants were still one-third less likely to develop Type 2 Diabetes.
What Is the National Diabetes Prevention Program?
The National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) helps people with prediabetes make realistic lifestyle changes that can prevent or delay type 2 diabetes.
This is not a quick fix or short-term diet program. It is a structured program that gives you time to practice new habits, build confidence, and create changes you can maintain.
Participants learn practical ways to make healthier food choices, become more active, manage stress, improve sleep, work toward a healthier weight, and stay motivated when life gets busy.
The goal is not perfection. The goal is steady progress through realistic changes that fit your daily life.
Wellness Five’s NDPP program includes:
22 live, coach-led group sessions over 12 months
Support from a trained Lifestyle Coach
Practical tools and resources
Encouragement and accountability
Support from people who understand what you are facing
Strategies for meals, travel, work, family life, holidays, and busy schedules
Help setting realistic goals and tracking your progress
This program can help you lower your risk of developing type 2 diabetes, improve your eating habits, increase your activity, manage stress, sleep better, have more energy, and feel more confident about your health.

Don’t Just Take Our Word…
Here is what a few of our past participants want you to know:
“Before the healthy habits program, I struggled with stress eating, unhealthy fat choices, and a reliance on processed foods. This program transformed my perspective. I became more mindful of portion control and discovered that I could savor my favorite foods—just in moderation.
Through small, consistent changes and the addition of exercise, my health and lab results improved significantly. It's not always easy, but the rewards are worth it. When I face setbacks, I remind myself of my "why"—to remain healthy and independent, and to avoid being a burden to anyone as I age. Then, I get right back on track.
I wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone facing weight loss challenges or health issues. Food and exercise hold the power to transform your health—one meal at a time.”
— ALICE, CHARLESTON
“I offered this program to my team and then took it along with them. It opened my eyes to the basic fact that food is fuel and is no longer my resource for fun, happiness, joy, or any other feeling. It is all controllable, and Lisa showed me how to take control. Thank you!”
— RHONDA, AIKEN
“This program changed my life! Not only did the program give real-life instruction, but it made it doable. Even after a year, I am still losing weight, have increased my activity, and feel better than I have in years. This program was a life changer for me.”
— SARAH, HOLLY HILL
"Before the diabetes prevention program, I was in the obese category and had high blood pressure. I’m now a different /improved/better version of myself because of what Lisa shared. I have lost 15 pounds and am still losing. Having the support of this class helped me succeed and not fall back into my old habits.”
— BLANCH, BAMBERG
“At this point, I have surpassed two goals for my desired weight and I am off of 4 of 5 prescription meds. My life is full of energy that I didn’t realize I was capable of and I’m having a blast figuring out new recipes and activities with my family. My transformation has motivated several friends and family members to change the health habits that we didn’t realize were causing us so many problems. I’m greatly appreciative to Lisa for her attention and effort in helping me create life-long changes in my life and hopefully others.”
— TREY, ORANGEBURG
