My 15-Year Journey to Thriving: The Power of Prevention After Breast Cancer

Fifteen years ago, I faced one of the hardest chapters of my life—a breast cancer diagnosis that completely changed how I saw health, balance, and self-care.

Back then, I was always “on.” I lived on the go, fueled by stress and convenience foods, thinking constant motion meant productivity. But what I didn’t realize was that this way of living was quietly harming me.

Over time, I discovered that true healing and prevention come from slowing down, nourishing the body, and creating space for rest and mindfulness. I learned that prevention isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress. Small daily choices—such as healthy meals, movement, sleep, and stress management—can profoundly influence long-term wellness.

Today, I’m not just surviving—I’m thriving. And I want to share the lessons, science, and hope I’ve discovered along the way.
